Green Velvet Cupcakes with Baileys Cream Cheese Frosting


Green Velvet Cupcakes

With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, we’re excited to present a delightful recipe that brings a touch of Irish charm to green velvet cupcakes.

Yield: 12 Cupcakes

Ingredients

Cupcakes:

  • 1 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • Green Food Coloring

Frosting:

  • 8 oz softened Cream Cheese
  • 4 tbsp softened Butter
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Baileys


Cupcake Frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  3. In a bowl, beat the egg and then whisk in all the wet ingredients until well blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just blended.
  6. Add food coloring to achieve the desired shade of green.
  7. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool on a wire rack.


Decorated Cupcakes

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the cream cheese, butter, and Baileys until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Transfer the frosting to a zippered bag or piping bag, and pipe onto the cooled cupcakes.
