Spring Chick Cupcakes
I enjoy decorating cakes, but it can be very time-consuming. I’ve come to prefer decorating cupcakes, as they are quicker, equally cute, and help with portion control!

These delightful Spring Chick Cupcakes are easy to make. You’ll need the following ingredients:
- Yellow frosting
- Yellow sugar crystals
- Chocolate chips
- White frosting
- Orange frosting
- Toothpick
- Icing bag
- Round tip & Closed star tip
Begin by smoothly icing the tops of the cupcakes with yellow frosting. After that, either sprinkle yellow sugar crystals over the frosting or dip the tops of the cupcakes into a plate of sugar crystals.
For the eyes, place chocolate chips upside down on the cupcakes. Using a toothpick dipped in white frosting, create a small dot on each chocolate chip for the eye highlights.
To shape the beaks, use a round tip to pipe a line of orange frosting where you want the beak to be. Start with pressure and then lift to create the pointed shape.
Lastly, use the closed star tip with yellow frosting to add fluffy tufts of feathers on the tops of the chicks’ heads.
Alternatively, you can make the beaks using orange candies pressed into the cupcakes.
There’s no right or wrong way to create these adorable cupcakes—they’re simply delightful!
