Cadbury Chocolate Easter Chicks
Today, the kids and I got creative with one of my all-time favorite Easter treats: Cadbury cream eggs! After melting some chocolates for another project, we had a bit left over in the bowl.
In no time, we were laughing and chopping the melting chocolates, and these adorable little chicks came to life!
Here’s what we used:
- Cadbury Cream Eggs (or any similarly sized chocolate egg, like caramel eggs)
- Orange Wilton melting chocolate
- White Wilton melting chocolate
- Brown Wilton melting chocolate
- Black frosting (or any color for the eyes)
- Wax paper
Melt some brown chocolate to use as your “glue.”
On a piece of wax paper, place a dollop of brown chocolate under two orange circles, making sure there’s enough chocolate to support the egg on top. I propped the egg up with a small item while it set, but it firmed up quickly.
From there, let your imagination run wild! Use the brown melted chocolate as your adhesive. Once everything has set, you can easily lift the creations off the wax paper.
