Homemade Orange Creamsicle Freezer Pop Recipe

Homemade Orange Creamsicle

I’ve always loved orange creamsicles. The combination of refreshing orange flavor and creamy ice cream is irresistible!

Now you can create your very own orange creamsicles at home with just four simple ingredients!

This recipe produces about three pops and can be made using the
Zoku Quick Pop Maker. You can usually find these at local stores like Marshalls or Ross, or check Amazon. Alternatively, follow the instructions for a non-Zoku version.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Making Creamsicles

Combine the cream, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.

Ingredients Mixed

Instructions for Zoku Maker:

  1. Pour the orange juice up to the fill line in the Zoku maker.
  2. Insert the stick into place.
  3. Wait for 3.5 minutes.
  4. Use the suction tool to remove any unfrozen juice from the center, or carefully pour it out.
  5. Fill the empty space with the cream mixture.
  6. Wait for about 5 minutes, or until the cream is frozen.
  7. Remove the pop using the tool and place it in the freezer.

Instructions for Non-Zoku Maker:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream, sugar, vanilla, and orange juice.
  2. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or small paper cups.
  3. Freeze for 10-15 minutes, until the mixture begins to firm up.
  4. Insert the sticks and return to the freezer for several hours.
  5. To remove from molds, run them under hot water.
