Worlds of Fun has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. I cherish the memories of celebrating my birthday there with friends, going on the thrilling rides over and over. When I got the opportunity to attend the park’s opening weekend with my kids, I jumped at the chance!

Family at Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun is an exceptional destination for Spring Break, catering to every family member. Whether it’s roller coasters or the thrill rides, or the delightful Planet Snoopy for younger kids, it truly offers the best in family entertainment.

Family enjoying the rides

On our previous visit, my kids loved Planet Snoopy, which is filled with endless fun and laughter. This year, Planet Snoopy introduced five new family rides to its collection:

Planet Snoopy Rides

  • Woodstock Gliders – Kids steer their own flying adventure with adjustable wings.
  • Snoopy Space Buggies – Experience the thrill of bouncing to the moon and back.
  • Beagle Brigade Airfield – Join Snoopy for a high-flying experience (formerly Flying Ace).
  • Linus Launcher – Feel weightlessness as you soar through the air with dangling feet.
  • Snoopy Junction – Hop on for a railroad adventure led by Conductor Snoopy.

Mamba Roller Coaster

Now that Emma and Ethan meet the height requirement for the bigger rides, they felt like explorers in a whole new world. They were excited to tackle the big rides, starting with the Mamba.

This coaster has been on Emma’s bucket list for a while. During our last trip, she was just a bit too short to ride. This time, she was certain it was her moment. Nervous yet excited, she chattered as our turn approached.

Smiling after Mamba

I’m pleased to say Emma made it through with a beaming smile, and now her little brother proudly claims he conquered the Mamba too!

The Patriot was another must-ride for both kids. This experience was different, with seats suspended underneath the track allowing for upside-down thrills.

Ethan was a little uncertain, so Dad guided him by explaining what to expect and pointing out smaller kids riding without issue.

I might have had a bit of a scream fest during this ride. It’s been years since I last rode a coaster, and the speed was exhilarating… yet so smooth! After we exited, Emma was bouncing with excitement, wanting to go again, while Ethan quietly opted out.

Family enjoying the rides together

After conquering the thrilling rides, our family enjoyed a more leisurely day on the gentler rides. I couldn’t resist joining my kids on the Scrambler; we all remembered how much fun it was from our last visit, and we shared smiles all around.

If you enjoy a bit of water, don’t miss the Viking Voyager with the kids. This classic ride has been around since my own childhood, and I remember reliving the thrill of that final drop and splash over and over. My kids clearly enjoyed it as well… though it seems Dad got the majority of the splash this time around!

Adults, big kids, small kids, and everyone in between… we all had a fantastic time on our family adventure at Worlds of Fun. We’re even contemplating buying season passes!

Why is that? Depending on which level of Season Pass you select, it can pay for itself in just two visits!

You can also purchase single day tickets from the Worlds of Fun website or at the entrance.
