French Style Cheesecake with Vanilla Wafer Crust

Total time: 25 minutes, plus 3 hours chilling

Ingredients for the Crust:
- 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Ingredients for the Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for the Cheesecake:
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
To prepare the crust, combine crushed vanilla wafers, melted butter, and brown sugar; press this mixture evenly into a pie dish or individual serving cups.
For the whipped cream, use an electric mixer to whip together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl until peaks form.
To create the cheesecake filling, add softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to the bowl with the whipped cream. Mix with an electric mixer until you achieve a smooth consistency. Spoon this mixture over the vanilla wafer crust and refrigerate for 3 hours to set.
